A wonderful CD with music and mantras sung by Ani Choying Drolma, a Nepalese singer. As you listen to 'Inner Peace', may your mind turn to the Dharma; may Dharma practice become your path; may confusions be cleared up along the way; may confusion turn to wisdom.

The album contains the following numbers: Namo Ratna Traya Ya - Om Amarani Jevan Soha - Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha - Om Mani Padme Hung.

Ani Choying Drolma is an exceptional singer who is particularly admired in Nepal and around the world. Her crystal-clear voice moves people to tears when she recites her songs and hymns, which have been passed down from master to student for centuries, in moving melodies. Ani Choying has always believed that nuns have not only the desire but also the power to make the world a better place if only they are given equal opportunities to do so. The Arya Tara School opened in 2000 with the goal of training nuns to best serve their communities professionally and humanitarianally. With their potential fully developed and realized, Ani Choying believes her nuns will be able to help not only themselves, but also other people. In short, the Arya Tara School aims to actively and effectively develop and use the compassion of its young nuns in a way that is appropriate to their talents. Traditionally, women's education has been neglected in Asia, says Ani Choying. Most of the girls in my monastery come from rural areas in Tibet, India or Nepal. Patriarchal structures prevail here, which mainly expect women to cook, clean and bear children. Even in monasteries they are encouraged to read Tibetan classics instead of instructing them in religious practice; Some girls can't even write their names. Her school teaches the girls reading and writing, mathematics, science, medical instruction in first aid and nursing, and Buddhist philosophy. In order to finance her school, Anila started marketing her music.

She has been recording and performing in front of audiences since 1997, bridging the gap between Western and Tibetan culture and music. Ani Choying also gained great popularity in Nepal after the release of her album 'Moments of Bliss' in 2004. She was honored for this because of the fantastic warm sound of her voice. A sponsor of the school once wrote: We were once invited to a concert by a Buddhist nun in a 500-year-old monastery in Patan. We thought this was a one-off experiment and of course we jumped at the opportunity. To our immense joy, we met a talented, witty and friendly woman who entertained us with traditional Tibetan songs and chants. At the end of this concert we learned that this nun was performing to build a monastery and school for underprivileged women and children from Nepal, India and Tibet. Their selflessness and dedication to this project was such that we simply felt the need to support them in their endeavor.
