Jasmine is a climbing tree with star-shaped, white flowers that originally comes from the Himalayas and China and is now cultivated in many sunny and hot urban locations. Jasmine can grow over 10 meters tall. In India it is called "moonlight in the grove". Fragrances and flavorings have been extracted from jasmine in China and the Orient for thousands of years, for example to flavor tea or as perfume oils. Jasmine is one of the indispensable ingredients and heart notes of perfumery.
