Mala
A mala is originally a Hindu or Buddhist aid for prayer and meditation. It is used to count mantras during recitation. A mantra is a collection of words or syllables, often from Sanskrit, that are recited repeatedly - traditionally 108 times. During the repetition you should concentrate on the meaning and vibration, if possible combined with the associated visualization. By training in such a meditation practice, your thoughts can calm down and your body can relax. In our modern world, the mala is also often worn as a fashion accessory.
