Cedar, also known as Atlas cedar, is an evergreen, majestic conifer native to North Africa. Cedar can grow up to 40 meters high, its wood is hard and has a strong scent. Cedar was already used by the Egyptians for embalming, cosmetic purposes and as a fragrance and incense.
