Buddha Amitabha figure 2-colored

This is the most popular Buddha shape in Japan. Amithaba is one of the three saints from Western Paradis along with Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta and Quan Yin (Avalokitesvara).

Padmasambhava, an 8th century Indian monk, brought the practice of Amitabha to Tibet and Nepal. In Tibetan Buddhism, Amithaba represents one of the five Dhyani Buddhas and symbolizes concentration, contentment and discriminative consciousness. The visualization color is red and this Buddha shape is connected to the throat chakra. The mantra of Amithaba is: Om Ah Amithaba Hum.

Nowadays, in many homes you can find a place for meditation with a Buddha figure, flowers, candles, scents and pictures of people close to you. In this place you can pause and meditate every day.
