For irritated, reddened, inflamed skin, calendula oil (marigold oil) provides a protective coating and strengthens the skin's resistance.
It is ideal as basic care for babies and sensitive people.

Gentle care for baby and mom
For the skin care of the little ones, we recommend: as little as necessary, as natural as possible.

• If your baby's bottom is sore, clean the affected areas of skin with water and calendula oil and air dry. The oil is then applied again.
• To soften cradle cap, gently rub the affected areas and leave overnight under a cotton cap. The scab can then be rubbed off very gently.
• Irritated nipples recover more quickly and painful cracks are prevented. Rub gently after breastfeeding.

Tip: baby massage
A particularly child-friendly and popular mixture of skin care and loving care. You rub the calendula oil warmed in your hands, starting on the upper body, away from the heart and outwards. At the end, the little feet are kept warm for a short time.

Tip: Calendula cream/marigold cream for mom and child
Slowly melt 25 g raw & organic shea butter in a water bath (do not let it get hot). Then add 5 - 10 ml of calendula oil and stir in well. When cooled, the mixture becomes a soft cream that is good for caring for baby bottoms, nipples and inflamed skin areas. Homemade calendula cream lasts about 6 months when stored at room temperature.
