Since the licorice used to have to be brought from the Near East,
Licorice is known and valued especially in coastal regions.
Its consumption is widespread, for example in the coastal regions of France
and in northern Italy and throughout England.
The individual bars are approx. 150-190mm long and 5-12mm in diameter (depending on the batch)
