Cedar, also known as Atlas cedar, is an evergreen, majestic conifer native to North Africa. The cedar can grow up to 40 meters high, its wood is hard and has a strong scent. Cedar was already used by the Egyptians for embalming, cosmetic purposes and as a fragrance and incense. In natural medicine, cedar is used for skin and scalp problems, muscle and joint problems, and respiratory problems.
